Yin Yoga is a new wave of asana that started in the 70's and was brought to the masses by Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. Blending the traditions of Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with Yogic Philosophy, Yin focuses on slow, cooling, long holds of stagnant shapes.
The brilliance of this style of movement (or stillness) is the incredible balance it brings to the more vigorous styles of Vinyasa or Power Flow.
In our training we add a third connection through modern understanding of fascia and the affects this practice has on the nervous system and overall healing.
Providing a space to learn these practices means that you are truly dedicated to creating a culture of healing and balance and will give teachers the knowledge to provide this style of class but to also use these concepts into all their teaching styles.
