Have you ever found yourself shouting to the universe "I just need some help!". Whether it was in business, learning, finding healing tools, teaching, or working through the act of being human, I am sure at some point you were at a place where you were searching for resources and just couldn't find what you were looking for.
We are in the unique position of holding knowledge and wisdom that could deeply impact the lives of other people, and as such, hold the duty to share, care, and provide tools for collective healing.
When it comes to sharing knowledge in the fields of yoga, wellness, mindfulness, or health, many people feel held back by the belief that they need to be an expert before contributing. They think they must read all the books, complete every training, or hold advanced degrees to have something valuable to offer. But there’s a key distinction between knowledge and wisdom that’s often overlooked.
Knowledge comes from study—it’s the facts, theories, and skills we gain from formal education or training. Wisdom, on the other hand, is lived experience. It’s the understanding that comes from navigating challenges, learning from personal mistakes, and finding meaning through life itself. While knowledge can provide a solid foundation, wisdom allows us to connect on a deeper, more personal level with others. When people are searching for guidance or learning opportunities, they often gravitate towards those who have walked the same path and can offer insights from their own experiences.
Many of the most impactful teachings come not from those who have read the most books, but from those who have lived and learned. When you share your unique story, your struggles, and your lessons, you offer a kind of wisdom that resonates deeply with others. Your voice can be a bridge, helping others feel seen and understood. Don’t let the pressure of being an "expert" hold you back—your wisdom is valuable, and your lived experience is more than enough to inspire and teach others.
